Our Advanced “Basic” Course is an ideal way to continue developing your diving skills while staying within the depth limits established for this level (30 meters). It’s the perfect opportunity to broaden your abilities and enjoy new sensations underwater.
Who can join this course?
This course is designed for Open Water divers or equivalent certifications (SSI, PADI, ACUC, CMAS 1*, etc.) who want to continue progressing in their training and feel more confident and prepared in different underwater environments.
The Advanced “Basic” Course consists of 5 experience dives: 3 of them compulsory (Navigation, Deep Diving and Buoyancy) and two additional dives to choose from theses 5: Marine Ecology, Search and Recovery, Caverns and Cenotes, Nitrox or Computer Diving.
5 open-water dives, with 4 sessions in diving areas along the Montgrí coast and 1 dive inside the Marine Reserve of the Medes Islands, an exceptional environment to keep improving your skills.
You will need to read the topics related to the experience dives you will be doing and complete the knowledge reviews.
The study system is entirely online through the SSI digital platform, allowing you to start immediately and learn at your own pace with an interactive and easy-to-use program. You will have access to online manuals and can complete all the theoretical content from wherever is most convenient for you.

The price: is per person
Maximum depth as an “Advanced” diver: 30 meters.
Course duration: 2 consecutive days
What to bring: Full diving equipment (except tank and weights).
Equipment rental: Rental gear is not included in the course price. If needed, it has a total cost of €20.
Who will train me?: At Xaloc, all our instructors are professionals with extensive experience in recreational diving and teaching. Some of us are even Trainers, responsible for certifying new instructors.
Mandatory: You must complete the medical form and/or provide a medical fitness-to-dive certificate. You must also have valid dive insurance (if you don’t have one, you can purchase it with us for €8/day).
