Do you want to keep exploring the underwater world while expanding your diving knowledge? With the Career Basic Pack, you’ll combine learning and adventure through a selection of 6 specialty courses that will connect you with the stunning environment of the Montgrí Natural Park and the Medes Islands.
In this program, you’ll dive down to 40 meters, learn to use a compass for underwater navigation, explore the seabed at night, develop skills to prevent and handle emergencies, and choose between improving your buoyancy or learning to dive with Nitrox.
Who is this course for?
This pack is ideal for certified Open Water divers or equivalent (SSI, PADI, ACUC, CMAS 1*, etc.) who want to advance their training and gain the minimum required specialties to enroll in the Recreational Dive Guide or Professional Divemaster course.
The Career Basic Pack consists of 6 SSI specialty courses:
- Five mandatory specialties: Deep, Navigation, Night, Rescue, and First Aid.
- One elective specialty: Buoyancy or Nitrox.
The three main phases of the course:
A) Practical Training: 3 Confined Water Sessions
These sessions cover the required exercises for the SSI Stress & Rescue course.
B) Practical Training: 10 Open Water Dives
During this course, you will experience:
1. Buoyancy or Nitrox: If you choose Buoyancy, you’ll refine your movement underwater, improve precision, and reduce environmental impact. If you go for Nitrox, you’ll discover the benefits of enriched air, such as longer bottom time and key technical considerations for safe use.
2. Deep Diving: You’ll descend to 40 meters, practicing advanced navigation techniques, controlled ascents and descents, and emergency management**.
3. Navigation: The SSI Navigation course will enhance your observation skills** and teach you how to use a compass with greater precision.
4. Night Diving: You’ll develop the skills and confidence needed to dive at night safely and comfortably.
5. Rescue: The SSI Stress & Rescue course will make you a more confident diver, ready to assist others in emergencies.
6. First Aid: The*React Right course focuses on building confidence in non-professional responders and improving their readiness to handle medical emergencies.
C) Theory
You will study online using SSI’s digital system, accessing interactive manual and completing assessments and final exams at your own pace.

The price includes:
✔ Digital learning materials.
✔ Open water dives with a certified instructor.
✔ 6 specialty certifications.
Participants: Minimum 1 person.
Duration: 7 days (customizable to your availability).
Available days: Every day of the week.
Diving gear: Bring your own if you have it. If you need to rent gear, it’s included in the price.
Diving locations: Most dives take place along the Montgrí Coast to protect the environment, but at least two dives will be in the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic dive spots.
Mandatory Requirements:
✔ Medical Form: If all answers are correct, no medical certificate is needed. Otherwise, a doctor’s approval is required.
✔ Valid Dive Accident Insurance: Available at Xaloc (42 € per year or 17 € per week).
Who will train you?: A certified instructor with proven experience, ensuring a safe and high-quality training experience.
