Caves are often described as the final frontier of human exploration on our planet. They provide a unique environment for those divers seeking to explore little-known and fragile environments.

Our philosophy is to create students who are competent, safe and capable of diving independently alongside another diver with the same, or higher, certification.

In general, we achieve the teaching objectives in the minimum number of days set, but you must understand that achieving the minimum level that we require requires a lot of effort, both on the part of the student and your Instructor and that is why we charge this type of courses per teaching day.
We should also point out that we will certify you once your Instructor believes that you have met the minimum standards required by both SSI and Xaloc and that you would be able to dive safely without a guide. We will not certify you if we consider that you have not completed the program for which you are registering with excellence.
Therefore, the approximate number of days marked in our price list is the minimum assuming that you follow the course by doing everything perfectly the first time. If you do not progress perfectly, you will have to add more days of training until you achieve it.
The price is 200 €/day.

The XR Cavern diver course has 5 components:
A) Practice: Theory session and equipment configuration

Very important to learn how to properly configure your diving equipment for diving in confined environments

B) Practice: fitness test session
We will confirm that you are physically capable of successfully starting this course.

C) 1 Practice in a pool or confined waters
You will review all those equipment, buoyancy and trim skills that we consider necessary inside the caverns

D) Cavern dives
As cave diving does not have direct access to the surface, you will have to learn its risks and also how to behave inside the caves, trim and use of the reel, as well as plan cave dives.

Our XR cave diving course ensures you have the necessary training to plan and conduct cave dives following the BOE guidelines, up to 40 meters deep, always accompanied by a diver of equal or higher level.

B) Theory
You should read the topics related to the course you will be attending, and complete the evaluations and the final exam of the course.
The system used is online, that is, the SSI digital system – to start immediately. Each person studies at their own pace, through an interactive and easy-to-use program. You have access to the online version of the manual and you can complete the theoretical part of the course in this way.

The price is per person
Payment method: 500 € at the time of booking by credit card or bank transfer and the remaining will be payable on the first day of the course

Not included in the price:
A) Boat dives:
– €30 per session
B) Diving material to be provided by the student:
– Complete diving equipment, including double buoyancy redundancy
– Primary torch and 2 secondary
– Safety spool of minimum 45 meters
– Arrows and cookies
– “Wetnotes”
– 2 cutting elements
– 2 masks
Material rental:
*Rental diving equipment is NOT included in the course price. If you need to rent it, consult with us and we will give you the personalized price
* Primary torch: in case you do not have a suitable primary cave light, the rental is €25/day
Where will the course dives be done?: In cave areas within the Montgrí Natural Park.
Who will train you?: Ramon Siliceo Canyet, expert instructor in caves from various parts of the world and technical diving instructor
Mandatory: You must have a medical certificate of aptitude for diving + you must have your own diving insurance (if you do not have one, you can contract one with us, €6/day)
Additional information: Dive dates must be reserved by phone or email in advance
Pre requirements:
– Be an SSI ADV diver or equivalent
– Minimum of 40 logged dives
– Be 18 years old
– Be a Nitrox diver
– Have minimum certification from XR Foundations or equivalent
– Have sidemount certification (in case of taking the cave course with sidemount)
