With the SSI Dive Guide course, you can become the go-to person for your dives and enjoy your passion for diving even more, without the obligations of professional divers. This course is not designed for professional work, so you won’t need to purchase liability insurance or pay annual SSI fees.

Who is this course for?
The SSI Dive Guide course is designed for divers certified as Advanced, Master Diver, or their equivalents (PADI, ACUC, CMAS 3***, etc.) who want to take their diving to the next level.
It is ideal for passionate divers looking to enhance their skills, achieve excellence in recreational diving, and become role models during dives—without transitioning into the professional SSI diving world.
With this course, you will gain in-depth knowledge and control underwater, opening the door to new experiences and underwater adventures while inspiring confidence and safety in those who dive alongside you.

The course is divided into two parts to ensure a comprehensive training that combines both practice and theory:
A) Pool and Open Water Training
The SSI Dive Guide course is designed to teach you how to lead diving activities with friends and family in a safe and efficient manner. Through practical sessions and in-water technique seminars, you will acquire the necessary skills to confidently organize and lead dives.
What will you learn?
- The role and qualities of a Dive Guide.
- Safety management and incident resolution.
- Site evaluation and dive site selection.
- Promoting underwater environmental awareness.
- Organizing and leading recreational dives.
- Preparing and delivering dive briefings.
All of this is combined with practical assessment to help you develop your skills to the highest level under the supervision of our expert instructors.
B) Theory via the SSI Digital System
The theoretical part is conducted through an innovative and accessible online system, allowing you to start immediately and study at your own pace.
How does it work?
- You will have access to the digital material for the SSI Dive Guide course from any device.
- Read interactive content, complete assessments, and prepare for the final course exams.
- The entire process is designed to allow you to learn comfortably and flexibly, with the constant support and guidance of SSI Instructors at Xaloc Diving Center, who will help answer your questions and deepen your understanding of key topics.
This course combines online theory with practical sessions in a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring that you develop your full potential as a Dive Guide.

Price: The price is per person.
Payment method:
- Reservation: €150 via bank transfer or credit card on our website.
- Remaining balance: To be paid on the first day of the course.
What is included in the price?
- Digital learning materials for the SSI Dive Guide course.
- Pool training sessions with your Instructor.*
- Open water dives with your Instructor.*
*The number of pool and open water sessions will be determined by your Instructor, based on your needs, abilities, and environmental conditions.
What is not included in the price?: Medical certificate of fitness for diving (mandatory).
Participants: Minimum 1 person.
Course duration: Flexible, with a minimum of 5 days. We recommend adding extra days to gain more experience and get the most out of the course. We adapt to your schedule.
Availability: Every day of the week.
What should you bring? Full diving equipment (except tank and weights).
Diving equipment rental: If you need full equipment, you can rent it for just €20 (not included in the course price).
Mandatory requirements:
- Medical certificate of fitness for diving (issued within the last year).
- Valid diving accident insurance. If you don’t have one, you can purchase it directly from us:
Annual insurance: €42 or Daily insurance: €8
Who will train you?: Our instructors at Xaloc Diving Center are professionals with extensive teaching experience in recreational diving. Some of them are certified Trainers, qualified to train other instructors, ensuring a high-quality education.
