EXTENDED RANGE NITROX DIVING: AN IMPORTANT STEP INTO TECHNICAL DIVING
The Extended Range program focuses on developing the skills, knowledge, and protocols required to conduct deeper and more demanding dives, with precise planning, advanced gas management, and a high level of control and safety underwater.
During the course, you will learn how to plan and execute dives with decompression stops, manage both air and bottom gases, and use optimized Nitrox decompression mixes, applying standardized technical procedures typical of technical diving.
The program allows dives up to 45 meters using air as bottom gas, with decompression ascents of up to 25 minutes.
SSI Extended Range is part of SSI’s technical diving progression and provides a solid and structured foundation for divers who want to conduct controlled technical dives and advance toward higher levels of technical diving with consistent and robust training.
Who is this course for?
The Extended Range course is designed for divers with prior advanced training (Advanced SSI or equivalent, with mandatory Deep Diving and Nitrox certifications) and at least 50 logged dives, who want to take the step into technical diving and develop real skills in decompression diving, bottom gas management, and decompression mixes.
This course provides true technical diving training, establishing the necessary foundation to continue progressing within the technical diving world, both in depth and operational complexity.
Training philosophy: quality and safety
At Xaloc Diving Center we train autonomous, safe, and competent divers, capable of diving with a buddy of the same or higher level.
Each course has a minimum number of days, but certification is not automatic. You will be certified only when your instructor considers that you have reached the standards required by SSI and Xaloc, ensuring that you can dive safely in this demanding environment.
For this reason, the course is charged per training day at 150 € per day. If you need more time to reach the objectives, you can add additional practice days.
