This 5-day course brings together three key certifications into one unique experience on the Costa Brava: Open Water Diver, Nitrox, and Buoyancy.
It’s the perfect choice for those looking to become confident and well-rounded divers, gaining international certifications and practical skills that truly stand out.
What does the course include?
A) Theory: Learn at your own pace
Dive into interactive materials and the Open Water Diver online manual, allowing you to study comfortably from home at your own speed. You’ll explore the foundations of recreational diving, Nitrox usage, and advanced buoyancy principles. Complete the knowledge reviews and the theoretical exam before starting the practical sessions.
B) Pool sessions: Master the essentials
Participate in three pool sessions where you’ll learn to handle diving equipment, practice essential safety techniques, and work on underwater exercises, all with the close guidance of our certified instructors.
C) Open water dives: The ultimate experience
Enjoy a total of eight dives:
- 5 dives along the stunning Costa del Montgrí, where you’ll apply what you’ve learned in a real marine environment.
- 2 dives in the Marine Reserve of the Medes Islands, renowned for its incredible biodiversity and unique underwater landscapes.
During these dives, you’ll strengthen your skills, experience Nitrox diving, and fine-tune your buoyancy control.

All the information you need for your course:
Price: The price is per person and includes everything you need to enjoy a complete and worry-free experience.
Availability: You can choose the format that best fits your schedule: weekends or weekdays, starting on Monday and finishing on Friday.
What’s included in the price?
- Full use of diving equipment throughout the course.
- International certifications for Open Water Diver, Nitrox, and Perfect Buoyancy.
- A digital dive logbook to record your underwater adventures.
- Online SSI study materials for your theoretical training.
- One-year diving accident insurance.
- Free rental equipment for the 12 dives you complete with Xaloc after your course (valid for 1 year).
What do you need to bring?: Just your swimsuit and a towel. We’ll take care of everything else.
Mandatory requirements: Before starting, you’ll need to fill out a medical questionnaire. If there are no contraindications, no medical certificate is required. Otherwise, you must present a fitness-to-dive certificate.
Reservations: Course dates must be booked in advance, either through our website, by phone, or via email.
Where do we conduct the practical sessions?
- Pool: In L’Estartit, located in the heart of Costa Brava.
- Sea: All open-water dives take place within the Montgrí Natural Park and the Marine Reserve of the Medes Islands.
Additionally, the course includes theory, practical sessions, and international certifications for Nitrox and Perfect Buoyancy.
We are the only diving center in Costa Brava to offer this comprehensive program at no extra cost.
All sea dives are conducted from a boat, ensuring an unforgettable and environmentally friendly experience.
